Osteo-Forte contains well-researched nutrients that work together to help maintain healthy bones and joints. Key ingredients:
Magnesium (from ecologically clean Ulva sp., known as “sea lettuce”) – this is a light green seaweed that can be found all over the world. It is one of the most nutrient-rich seaweeds, with essential fatty acids, polysaccharides, vitamins, minerals and other nutrients. Ecologically clean sea lettuce is particularly high in magnesium, which contributes to the maintenance of normal muscle function and bones and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
Calcium (ecologically clean red algae, united under the term “Calcareous”– Lithothamnion) – as a food supplement, calcium is available in two forms: calcium carbonate (which is basically limestone) and calcium citrate, which is plant-based. Calcium citrate is absorbed about 30% better than calcium carbonate, making it the more effective form of calcium.
Our ecologically clean red algae Calcareous (Lithothamnion) is harvested in the cool, clean, transparent waters off the coast of Iceland, for which an exclusive license has been granted. It is an easily absorbed source of calcium and 74 other essential trace elements beneficial to the human body.
Vitamin D – a fat-soluble vitamin that supports calcium absorption and normal bone growth and is involved in maintaining immune function.
AquaSource Osteo-Forte uses vitamin D2, the plant form of vitamin D. The vitamin D2 used in this product is sourced from ecologically clean mushrooms.
Vitamin K2 – activates proteins that are involved in blood clotting and play a role in heart health. But one of its most important roles is to help regulate calcium deposition, which contributes to bone calcification.
Vitamin K exists in two forms: K1 and K2. Vitamin K1 (phylloquinone) is found in plant foods such as leafy green vegetables. Vitamin K2 (menaquinone) is found in plant and fermented foods.
Osteo-Forte, as a vegan formula, uses K2VITAL® Delta form of vitamin K2, with over 20% better absorption.
Ionic minerals – zinc and boron are included in ionic mineral form. Ionic minerals are metal ions that have completely separated from the compounds in which they occur naturally, resulting in more effective absorption by the body. Zinc helps strengthen bones, supports the immune system and contributes to normal metabolism. Boron contributes to the maintenance of bones and joints in good condition.
Amylase – an enzyme that breaks down starch and converts it into sugars. Amylase breaks the various chemical bonds in starch and extracts the naturally occurring sugar in it so that it can be used by the body.
Lipase – a water-soluble enzyme involved in the breakdown of fats so that they can be absorbed by the intestines.
Protease – supports digestion by breaking down proteins into amino acids.
