About organic pea isolate
Organic pea isolate powder, also known as pea protein powder, is a high-quality protein and an excellent source of iron. It can support muscle growth, contribute to heart health, and be an important part of almost any weight management program.
Pea protein is obtained by grinding dried yellow peas into a fine powder. The fibre and starch are then removed. As a result, the remaining powdered concentrated protein is entirely of plant origin, unlike whey, casein and egg-based protein powders, and is therefore ideal for vegetarians and vegans.
Pea protein isolate is rich in leucine, arginine, glutamine and all other chain branched and essential amino acids. It is also a good source of antioxidants. In addition, it is non-GMO, gluten-free, soy-free and hypoallergenic.
Easily digestible – Peas are a legume, usually containing a very high concentration of fibre and starch, which makes digestion difficult and can cause gas and bloating. However, our process removes most of the fiber and starch that could cause discomfort. We also added enzymes to aid digestion.
Rich in iron – Foods of plant origin, such as peas, contain so-called “non-heme iron”, which the body does not absorb as well as heme iron in fish, catfish and poultry. Consumption of foods high in vitamin C aids the absorption of non-heme iron. We’ve added vitamin C-rich organic acerola to help maximize iron absorption.
Compatible with almost any diet – Pea Protein Powder is naturally vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free and contains none of the eight major food allergens: peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, fish, seafood, cow’s milk, wheat and soy. It is therefore compatible with almost any diet. Increasing protein and decreasing sugars makes AquaSource Light-Up! especially suitable for popular and effective ketogenic (or keto) diets. Pea protein mixes well with water and its texture is not as grainy as other plant protein powders such as hemp.
Note that although pea protein powder intolerance is very rare, people with pea allergy, sensitivity or intolerance.
