Dietary supplements for diabetics
Diabetes (diabetes mellitus) is increasingly common in so-called civilized countries and is one of the leading causes of disability and death in the world.
To maintain a normal blood sugar level, the pancreas produces two hormones – insulin and glucagon. When blood sugar rises, the pancreas secretes insulin, which causes glucose from the blood to pass inside the cells. If blood sugar drops below normal, glucagon is released, which sends it back into the blood.
Types of diabetes
There are two types of diabetes. The most serious is so-called juvenile type 1 diabetes, which usually starts in childhood. Possible causes are autoimmune reactions (auto-aggression) against the cells of the pancreas that produce insulin, or against insulin receptors in the tissues. In turn, this can be caused by (or made worse by) a lack of essential fatty acids (EFAs), whereby the immune system turns against its own body instead of defending it.
More common is type 2 diabetes, which usually starts in the second half of life. If a person is predisposed (familial) to this disease, then the danger of its occurrence may increase if his diet is rich in sweet and poor in cellulose. An early phase of diabetes can be hypoglycemia, which is due to the release of too much insulin.
In type II diabetes (so-called non-insulin-dependent), in over 90% of cases the problem is not so much a lack of insulin as a reduction in its effectiveness. It depends on certain trace elements, which over time become increasingly deficient in the human body. These are called glucose-tolerance factors.
One such trace element is chromium. Adding it to the diet of overweight adults, who are most often at risk of diabetes, is a wonderful preventive measure, and adding it to the diet of diabetics leads to a reduction in insulin requirements and, in some cases, to the cessation of oral diabetic treatment and to a balancing of carbohydrate metabolism.
The same can be said for a large number of other trace elements such as zinc, boron, selenium, etc. Although medicine has long known how important a role they play and that they are indispensable for our health, adding them to our diet is still not widely practiced by health workers. Eating microalgae is a very easy and effective way to supply the body with what it needs, and in a fully digestible form.
Colostrum contains insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1), which is especially valuable for diabetics, as well as many other growth and immune factors that improve their condition and protect patients from complications.
Can AquaSource products help with diabetes?
My experience strongly suggests that diabetes is responded to very well in a relatively short time by the combination of the Easy Start Program, Colrastra, EMC, CoQ10 with chromium and AFA and Super Antioxidant. Interestingly, this applies not only to the second type of diabetes, but even to such cases that began in childhood and in which, as a rule, the complications are more. Glucose tolerance factors can also be crucial and the intake of certain micronutrients is very important.
Naturally, there is a difference in the results achieved with the help of superfoods in the two types of diabetes, which are medically explainable by the fact that the pancreas is affected differently.
In the first type of diabetes an improvement in the general condition and a tendency towards stabilization of the indicators, with the same doses of insulin increasing the body’s glucose tolerance – for example, in one patient only two months after starting Algae, blood sugar from 12 g/l dropped to 9 g/l. Another very favorable side of the use of seaweed here is a good response in the complications of the disease. We therefore recommend taking antioxidants regularly to improve immunity and resistance to infection, as well as Green Energy and EMC. Easing digestion through the use of digestive enzymes is also important.
In the second type of diabetes, it is most often possible to completely normalize the indicators, and this is achieved with various combinations, but most often through products containing additional amounts of chromium – Leighton-Up and Coenzyme Q10 with chromium, in combination with Colostra and Green Energy. Sometimes it happens in the first month, but even if we don’t succeed that quickly, after a while the effect is there. In the second type of diabetes, there is often also obesity, which also gradually responds excellently.
